We sincerely hope that your family is staying safe and healthy as the world copes with the COVID-19 pandemic. Like the rest of the world, we are doing everything possible to minimize potential exposure to and the spread of the virus so we all may return to everything we love.
We are currently open for day camps and team practice. Recreational classes are set to resume on August 3rd.
As a valued customer, we wanted to share with you what we are doing at ASG to ensure a safe environment for campers, parents, and staff. After reopening, we will continue our enhanced sanitation measures such as cleaning with hospital grade disinfectants, regular hand washing, and use of hand sanitizers. The gym equipment will be disinfected after each rotation. Students will be encouraged to wash hands during rotations by going to the restroom. Further ASG Safety Protocols are detailed below.
ASG SAFETY PROTOCOL(S)
Only my student and one other person may enter the facility during participation.
Persons attending the facility with gymnast(s) will only be allowed in the upstairs viewing area and must maintain at least 6' distance from other persons while at the facility.
The upstairs viewing area will have a limited number of persons. This is first come, first served. Once the viewing area is at capacity, you will not be able to stay and view classes.
Anyone entering the gym will have their temperatures checked with a contactless thermometer. All persons must have a temperature below 99 degrees Fahrenheit. Please ensure that your child has passed the temperature check and is sent into the gym prior to leaving the parking lot.
Guests are required to wear facial mask at all times. If you are staying to view classes, there will be no in and out once you enter the facility.
It is imperative that you or your student refrain from coming to the gym if you have a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, or any symptoms associated with COVID-19.
In order to keep the flow of entering and exiting the building, parents must be on time to drop off and pickup gymnast(s). Gymnast must arrive and depart on time. If your gymnast is late, there is a possibility they will not be able to attend class due to new protocols in place.
The gym water fountain is closed. Students will be permitted to carry a bottle of water on the floor. Disposable water bottles only. Please write your students name on their bottles before they go to the gym.
The cubby room is now upstairs as the downstairs lobby is closed. Please do not have your gymnast carry extra items to the gym.
Chalk bowls are removed. Spray chalk will be provided by the gym for all class students.
The foam pit is covered. The pit will be in use for team skills only. Class students will not have access to the pit.
The coaching staff will spot (physically assist) when the circumstances require it. Spotting students and athletes is often necessary in order to teach skills safely, to help athletes perform skills correctly and to prevent injury.
We have installed safety markers for gymnasts and coaches to safely practice social distancing. Please encourage your gymnast to practice social distancing while in the facility.
Team gymnasts and class students will have different entrance and exits. Class students will enter the gym through the front stairs entrance and exit theleft side of the building from upstairs. Please follow and adhere to the posted signs around the facility.
We have received overwhelming and truly inspiring messages of support from our families as we all have chartered these unknown waters together. A huge part of the culture of ASG is deeply rooted in the care and support we have for each other and our families. We truly consider our students and parents apart of our extended family.
